CTP is not considering on hand stock when proposing dates

Hello,

We have a scenario where on hand stock on the item is not being considered while proposing available dates using CTP.

Example

Finished Good - A - Zero on hand

Raw Material - B - 20000 on hand

Sales order quantity - 5000 - Simulate the delivery dates based on CTP and this is what happens

System does not consider the on hand inventory of RM (B) and creates a Planned batch order for FG (A) based on Vendor calendar which is open somewhere 8 weeks from now.

So my requirement date falls some where in 2021 while I have on hand inventory to produce it right now. The resource calendar of the FG is open and we have enough capacity.

Any suggestions?

Hi Narasimha,

Does system create a new planned purchase order? Do you change the SO requirement date to check if the on-handed is considered?(If vendor calendar is same as SO requirement date)

Master plan will create the planned order based on the requirement date.

You can set up the lead time of the FG to produce in advance.
