Hi All,

I have a custom activity entity SMS and want to select a another custom entity in To field on SMS form.

I am able to add custom entity in requiredattendees field but not able to add custom entity in To field. Any idea how it is possible?

Any kind of help is appreciated.

    Hi Abdul-Shahied Shahid ,

Can you confirm about the other entity that you want to see in lookup selection is also of type activity?

    Thanks,

    Saud

Hi Saud Ali Thank you to show your interest here.

No, other entity is not an activity entity that is a non activity entity.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Regarding your question about adding a custom entity to a custom active entity field.

According to the image you provided, we see that you added the entity to the first field successfully, but the second one failed.

After testing by our team, we found a possible solution. Custom entities can be added to the Party List by using JavaScript code. The following post may help you.

    https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/451455/autopopulate-email-recipient-field-from-custom-entity

In addition, could you please describe in detail the process of adding entities to the fields?

More detailed information would help us to locate your problem faster.

I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Best Regards,

    Rudy Zhang

RE: Add custom entity in to field

Hi RudyZhang , Thanks for your help.

I also did try it before but now tried once again, but the problem is same.

I can set a custom entity record in requiredattendees field using JS code but not able to set  custom entity record in To field even using JS code.

Not able to attach SS here so sharing link of SS having error I face in JS.

Here are the full details of what I need:

I want to add a feature in application to send SMS even to custom entities. For that I will provide an interface to users of application, where they will be able to select any of the custom entities and will click a button Configure selected entity to send SMS and then in plugin I'll execute all requests to create relationships that will be needed.

But this time I need to do this using UI but not able to do so. That's why I think this feature will not be possible.

Hope I've added all details that are required to get a solution. But again I am available to provide more details if required please let me know what should I add here.

    Thanks.
