Insufficent Memory error attaching OLE Notes

Posted on by 355

I have a cleient that gets the following error when attaching a document to the OLE Notes. The document is not a large document and they have checked the memory on the workstation and it looks fine. What could cause the error message.

"Insufficient memory to perform operation."

Thank you,

Angie

I wouldn't be able to answer that as that is not something we test. I haven't heard of a size limit on files being attached. Do you have another file type around that size such as PDF that they can try?

No it only happens on documents over 20 mb. They are attaching TIF documents. Is there a max file size limit?

Does it happen every time? If so they may not have correct permissions to the folder. You can run a process monitor and see if it comes back with any access denied's or sharing violations.

Yes they are using a shared location. Any Suggestions?

Are they storing OLE notes on a shared location?
