Hi

Using the Pipeline Phase (stepname) field in our opportunities.

At the moment it is just a line of text field.

Can I convert this into a "Pick/Dropdown" list?

Alternatively I may not be understanding how this is supposed to work.

At the moment I am running only basic test data so deleting fields/overwriting is not a big issue.

Any help/insight you can provide would be great.

I'm having the same issue, pipeline phase should be a workflow step that impacts the probability

The CRM platform populates the value on the Pipeline Phase field automatically. This field is populated Stage Category global optionset. Go through the below blog post and see if this helps.
