Can not enter information in "Note" Field on purchase invoice or Sale invoice

Hello! 

When I try to enter any information in the Note field I get an error message. It will not allow me to save. This is pre-post or after posting the invoices. Does anyone know how to "activate" or fix the error?

    Is this a customized field ?

    The standard field on a sales invoice should be called work description.

    If it is a customization then you should have your developer or partner check the issue.

    And the purchase invoice does not have a field called notes either in the standard system.

    I am not sure if it is a custom field but it is located under the FactBox pane under Attachments, I can add the attachments and the Note is open and available to type in but when I try to close and save it I get the error message.

    Sorry, then I misunderstood your question.

    Now i understand what field you are talking about.

    Could it be a permission issue maybe?

    Do you have super user permissions and does it affect all your users ?

    It could be a permission issue, I do not know where to look. And yes it does affect all users.

    Then go to the User page for your user,

    Make sure you have the super permission assigned and see if that fix the issue, If that is the case then we can look at what specific permission is needed.

    I do not have Super user, most likely the only one to have it is our IT guy who is hard to get answers from and says that the Note field does not work per Business Central.

    I just tested it in my system and the field works very well out of the box with the permissions needed.

    So you should get hold of the IT guy and tell him he is most likely not giving you the correct answer here and he should at least allow you to do a test of this when you have super user permissions.
