Movement of Reserved material Raw material pick

Hi,
I would like to move Reserved material for Raw material pick but unfortunatelly that is not possible.
Our case is that we move material Pick->Put(Stage)->Pick->Put(Prodinput)
We would like to be able to move reserved material from the stage location.
Can someone please give an explanation why Microsoft has not activated this function? Since this is working for almost all other work order types.

Would it not be possible with an addition pick & put step in the work template for raw material picking?

Microsoft has not activated this function primarily because of the potential for discrepancies and data integrity issues. Moving reserved material from the stage location could lead to inconsistencies in the inventory tracking process, as the material would be effectively bypassing the intended production workflow. This could result in inaccurate inventory counts and potential disruptions to the production process.

Hi Simon and Fasih,

I have a similar issue regarding moving reserved material during raw material picking. In your explanation it sounds like this is a stage location-problem but that is not the case. It is also not possible to move material for the first pick step from the storage location to another location. This is possible for sales order work type.

This is a raw material work order, it is not possible to move the item SE061963 from location A1-1 to A1-10(two storage locations)

I get this error

So my question is; why is this possible for sales order and not production order? If it is about inventory tracking inconsistencies and data integrity issue then why does it work for sales orders?
