Application Ribbon/Command Bar Customization-hiding button or adding new button - not reflecting in Unified Interface client

Hello Experts,

I am trying to hide one of the Application Ribbon/Command Bar button but the HideCustomAction is reflecting only in the Classic Web interface and not the Unified Interface client.

As a matter of fact, even adding a new custom button is not reflecting in Unified Interface.

Can someone help me understand if there is something else that has to be done for hiding the button in Unified Interface or is this a bug?

More Details:

I want to hide the Refresh All button under Dashboards homegrid.  I have added a hide custom action as shown below, but the changes are reflecting only in the Classic Web and  not Unified Interface.

<HideCustomAction HideActionId="ra.Mscrm.DashboardTab.Management.SaveAs.Hide" Location="Mscrm.DashboardTab.Management.SaveAs" />

Your help/input is much appreciated.

Regards,

Palani K.B.

    Hey!

You have to add a display rule in the ribbon customization to hide it from the Modern View (the Unified Interface). Can you share a screenshot of the ribbon customization so that we can better assist you with this?

    Thanks,

    Hey Yash,

I am trying to hide an OOB button.  Where can we add a Display Rule to a HideCustomAction tag?  Also, I have already included the screenshot in my post of the behavior in classic web and modern web.  Please let me know if you are looking for some other information.

    Regards,

    Hi Palani,

My bad, I thought you were doing it with the Ribbon Workbench tool. If so, you can simply select the button and hide it (For custom buttons, you have to add the rules as I mentioned).

    Thanks,

    Hi Goutam,

I have already done all these steps, you can check the line of XML in my post. The issue is the button is hidden only in classic web but still visible in unified interface.

    Hi,

Try it using EnableRule of the ribbon button to hide the  "Refresh All" button

    1. Create an enable rule using Ribbon Customization

    2. Use the Javascript command return (!window.IsUSD) from that Enable Rule.

window.IsUSD is a Javascript command that will return True only when the command is executed inside a USD window. This will help you hide/ disable a button only in USD.

Detail information can be found here

    Thanks,
    Srikanta

    Hi Palani,

Please check the link and add enable rule in the button command which is specifically designed for UCI ribbon buttons.
