Filtering by Multiple Dimensions

Filters have changed when moving from the windows to web client and using the pipe to select multiple.

When using the pipe in filters to select multiple dimensions for example, in the web client I have to manual type each of the options in. In the windows client, I am able to select, enter the pipe and select the next dimension from the list. I have also tried using ctrl and selecting multiple which doesn’t work either.

Is there a workaround for this? We have considered using filter tokens, however the filters will change each time so this isn't a practical solution.

I have the same question (0)

Thanks, I didn't even know this existed.

Do you know if this is available elsewhere in BC? I've also been asked if the multiple selection is possible when running a suggest vendor payments report, to filter by select vendors that may change each time the report runs.

“Set dimension filter” provides a user with a nice selection page. No need to handle the | symbol. The old method you have described is still viable with Jet reports if you have that.

    Kim,

I am not sure of an alternate way to entering the information. I have taught users to add the | and enter the next value. I have also taught them to SAVE the Filtered View to use the next time so they do not have to reenter them.

    Thanks,

    Steve
