I want to assign an account to a new user without affecting closed it's closed Opps.

Title says it all, when we assign an account to a new user, all the sub entities related to that account also have their ownership changed.

For example, Employee 1 has an account that he has closed several opportunities with.

6 Months later, we higher Employee 2.

Employee 2 is now assigned to work on this account.

When this process happens, even Opportunities closed as Won in the past, are updated and ownership now belongs to Employee 2.

Any help would be useful.

1. Goto Opportunity List View. Click on "Customize Entity" link

3. Click on the N:1 relationship and select the opportunity_customer_accounts relationship

4. In the Relationship Behaviour section of the On the Relationship Form, select the Type of Behaviour to be "Configurable Cascade" and select the "Cascade Active" option for Assign.

5. Save and Publish

Now, when you assign an Account record to another user, only the Open opportunities are assigned to the new user and not the closed ones.
