Anyone ever encountered that when you firm a production order, the Raw Material Date of the item belongs to Same operation are different? but when you Click schedule again, it will be ok?
for e.g. there are 3 operations in the Routing, and 10 Items in the BOM. The first 3 items needed in Operation 1, next 4 in operation 2 and rest 3 in operation 3. so the Items in operation one should have same date but for us in some products it is coming different? is it a bug?
This issue is likely caused by scheduling inconsistencies when firming the production order. The system initially assigns raw material dates based on lead times, calendars, or constraints, which might not always align perfectly. When you manually reschedule, it corrects these inconsistencies.
Check Scheduling Parameters – Ensure the scheduling method (forward/backward) and finite capacity settings are correctly configured.
Review BOM and Routing – Verify that the BOM lines have correct operation links and lead times.
Firm with Scheduling – When firming, enable scheduling to avoid date mismatches.
Update Master Planning – Ensure the coverage settings and lead times align with expected material availability.
If the issue persists, consider applying relevant hotfixes or updates, as it could be a known bug.
