Outlook receiving script error invalidcharactererror when opening an entity

I have a customer that is receiving a script error when opening any entity (see below). It happens only on a single machine. If I click on No to stop running scripts on this page it keeps happening.

Set the user privacy option to either automatically send or never send sp that it wont't pop-up this error.

When I bring up the Personal Options I do not have a tab for privacy.

Ask user to login to crm in the browser and set this option. Once users sets this option check the issue in outlook.

I logged in as the user and the privacy tab isn't there

probably user does not enough privilege to update this option. You can set privacy settings at global level that applies to all users in org , to do this go to settings-> Administration-> Privacy preference . Once this solves user issue make adjustment in users role to provide privilege to update user settings .

I set the global privacy preferences and sync'd Outlook but I'm still getting the same problem.

If this is occurring only on a single machine, try the same in different browsers.

You can also check the IE settings to allow scripts or reset it to default.

Can you remove organization using configure dialogue and re-add the org back and check the result ?

I had exactly the same error with one single machine (CRM 2013, SP1, UR1 for SP1):

Line: 7

Char: 470651

Error: InvalidCharacterError

I resolved the issue by reviewing and changing Internet Explorer Security Settings (Sites and Level), deleting the Internet Explorer Cache, deleting the Form Cache in Outlook and reconnecting the organization via the Configuration Wizard.
