GP2013 Upgrade Stuck in Utilities looking for Business Intelligence reports network path.

The company data all appeared to upgrade and I'm in a loop now for Business Intelligence reports were not deployed....the network path was not found.  Retry and cancel just keep looping.  We aren't using BI but do use MR.  Has anyone seen this?

I have seen this just recently as upgrading one of the clients to Dynamics GP 2015, following up on SQL profiler, I found a corrupted record in BI related table. To check it out, run the profiler, and click "cancel".

You will have a few lines of scripts on the profiler, check the associated tables and drop any corrupted records.

If you are still struggling with this issue, share the result you have on the profiler as you cancel the upgrade.

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

I checked the status of the upgrade tables DU..etc and since all data appeared to be updated we continued to install the program update on a workstation, launched utilities with no issues and so far it all seems to be fine.  If we find issues running MR I'll have to revisit it and will try what you suggested.  Thanks for the quick reply.

We've seen this occur with the window that shows after the database(s) complete the upgrade and give the user a chance to deploy the Excel and/or SSRS reports. What happens is sometimes the window doesn't show and Utilities seems to hang, or the window will show but be blank, or the entire window will show, but you aren't able to click 'Cancel ' to close the window.

In all of these cases, if you use Task Manager to kill Dynamics.exe, then launch Utilities again, it'll verify for you that the upgrade has been completed and let you logon to the application at that point.

    Thanks

We had the same issue when upgrading from GP2010 to GP2013. To resolve it, check the SY40800 table in Dynamics db and make sure 'ExcelReportsSystemFolder' and 'ExcelReportsUserFolder' are updated with the correct path and proper permission.

This error occurs when you previously deployed the Excel Reports but have moved servers or the location where you originally installed them is no longer in place.

You can find the path in this table.

    Sorry - it is SY40800
