I am working with Dynamics GP's Canadian Payroll 2010.
I want to import transactions for a pay period into GP Canadian Payroll using flat files (ie by using the import/export option in Canadian Payroll). Basically I just want to feed the gross amount into GP and have it return the net amount (which I would then export out). Has anyone ever done this, or used the import/export tool for Canadian Payroll Just wondering what the experience has been and if there are any tips/info I should know before attempting this? Or even a better way of doing this in SQL or with econnect?

The import/export tool is very finicky and requires a precise format.
Unfortunately , eConnect does not have any nodes that support Canadian Payroll Transactions.
We have developed some stored procedures that we use to do imports. THey have validation routines to ensure that there valid employees, etc are being used. Let me know if you might be interested in these and we can discuss in more detail.

Hi Mark,
We are implementing a customer that has one Canadian company. They are using Kronos for a time clock and would like to import hours\amounts into Canadian payroll. Since econnect doesn't support Canadian payroll I was hoping that I could get my hands on the SP you mentioned in this thread. They have purchased SCRIBE to push the Kronos data directly to econnect or stored procedures.
Please let me know if this might be possible.
Drop me an e-mail at mstewart@osprey-software.com and we can setup a discussion to see if we have the right solution.
Thanks
