Quantity in Units of Measure

Hi:

I can't find where to set up quantities within a unit of measure for an item.  I have gone online to find instructions.  But, the navigation does not appear to "match".

How do I specify quantities within the unit of measure for an item for setting up base and other corresponding quantities?

Thanks!

John

John, different units of measure need to be set up on the item under related information. Here you set up the conversion for the various units of measure back to the base unit of measure. On the item card you can sit here is the default sales unit of measure and the default purchase unit of measure. You can also have pricing set up per unit of measure. All transactions in the item ledger will post in base unit of measure. You can do inventory adjustments in any unit of measure in the system will convert that adjustment positive or negative or purchase quantity back to the base unit to measure and that’s how you have your quantities in inventory. You always have quantities in the base unit measure you don’t see oh I have  100 each is 12 dozen and 50 gallons. Your quantities on hand are always in your base unit of measure. Hope that helps
