Extend Data Exchange - Real time service

Hi,
I am trying to extend the real time service in commerce data exchange. Can any one please guide me a proper way to do that. I am following this blog but I do not know how to call the custom method that I wrote on extension class of RetailTransactionServiceEx.
Is there anyone who can guide me to call the method in CRT. I am not getting this call.
