I was able to change the users permissions within SQL and was able to work around this issue. Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

    Have you solved this yet?

Error 9898 is an SL error that occurs when the Solomon.ini file isn't correct. The path you listed in your OP is not the path MR gets installed to by default. Have you checked to make sure Solomon.ini is correct?

Does the error look like an SL dialog or a dialog from the MR designer?

It does not matter if we try to run it inside or outside of SL. The client has the same issue and gets the same message.

Sounds like you are trying to run MR from the link inside SL.

You need to find your Solomon.ini in the root of the SL installation. Open it and look for a line that begins "MR Location=" and change it to "MR Location=C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics ERP\Management Reporter\2.1" (or the actual installed location of the MR client files. Your path may vary, but my suggestion is the default.
