Hi there...

Can anyone tell me where to attach a number series to the production journal.
The journal I am referring to is avaliable in this path:

Released production orders -> open an production order -> Lines -> Production journal

We have never used this journal and when I try to use it I get an error message that I need to fill in doucument no - but the field/column is inactive.

Thanks in advance...

Best regards

The "Item Journal Templates" are used to define the Journal Batches, within the Batch for your Prod. Journal you can define a No. Series.

add a bit more info: as shown on the screen, item journal templates are a very essential setup to create batches for journals based on item journal.
However, you could either put in a number series on the second screenshot.

Or you could set a flag on manufacturing setup per example. This way, BC won't ask you to set up the no. series.
