I have setup email on GP 10.0 and all the users access GP through terminal servers.  The user wanted to send the customer statement from GP but to achieve this I need to install Adobe Acrobat writer since its terminal server used by multiple users I cant install single licence, how to resolve this problem.  Has anyone experienced this please share your valuable suggestions.

    Hi Babu

As far as I am aware, there is no way around it unless there is appropriate licensing for Adobe Acrobat.  There are a number of other email tools that you may be able to use for this.  Another option could be to consider a SSRS Report that you programme to do the email side - still run the statements in GP but then run in SSRS - I am not an expert on that - I just know we have some clients using SSRS for statements.

Can you have a single client side install on a physical workstation for this function?  Possibly an easier option?

Or at this point in time, is the client able to upgrade?  Version 10 is officially out of MS support and with the release of 2015, I would be pushing them to upgrade if possible.

    Cheers

    Heather

    Hi Heather,

Installing single client is excellent idea, let me try and let you know my outcome.

It was the big limitation of the email statements before GP 2013 introduced the ability to email statements using the standard functionality (first introduced in GP 2010).

As Heather says in the short term a separate client install so you don't need to buy expensive Adobe licences and then look to upgrade to a version which supports statements in the normal functionality.
