Hi,

I have 3 customers that are experiencing the same issue in Business central 16 and 18. All customer have expected cost posting turned on so when our PO's are received it hits expected cost and then the purchase invoice is posted it removes it from expected cost into cost actual. But they are all experiencing some scenarios where the expected cost is not being relieved in the value entries, an example shown below. The adjust cost routine has been ran, all documents are completely invoice but this serial no. is still showing on the inventory valuation report with a qty of $0 and a value of $524.83

Hi, you can try Inventory - G/L Reconciliation, this allows you to see the differences, and drill down.

    Thanks.

In your screenshot the issue is that the expected cost for item charges isn’t being reversed when the actual costs are posted.

By default, item charges don’t post expected cost entries. It appears you have a customization in place that posts expected costs for item charges, and the problem lies in this custom function—it isn’t correctly reversing the expected cost.
