How to manually refresh Power BI dashboards in MSM

Dear community,

I did a new data import via an Excel Template with water records, and I'd like to see the result in the dashboard under "Water Insights". However, it has not been refreshing and I was searching how to refresh the dataset manually.
  • I tried to go to PowerBI online from within MSM dashboard, but I couldn't find the option to pen in PowerBI browser version.
  • Then I went to the portal manually, but there were several workspaces set-up in the training environment and I tried to figure out from which workspace it was synchronizing. I needed to do a manual search because I didn't know other options.
  • Manual search unsuccessful. I just want to see the different datasets to refresh them from the portal.
    • Could it be that I don't have viewer rights?
    • Or that I'm not a workspace member?
    • How should I check this?
  • Can I refresh manually from within the MSM environment?

Hope someone can help me out!

Thank you in advance!

No, you cannot manually trigger a refresh of the out-of-the-box Power BI reports in MSM.
They refresh automatically on a schedule, and it is reasonably frequent, depending on a lot of factors like the total size of your data, how busy the servers are at that particular moment, that kind of thing.

If you build your own custom PBI dashboard and embed it into MSM (requires PBI license), you would be able to trigger a dataset refresh  from Power BI online (or if you use direct query you'd not need to)
