Hi,

I have some records that's imported from a external systm, and some that's created inside CRM. All the records from the external system is upper-case. And many of the records/fields save from CRM is Mixed upper and lower case.

Is it somehow possible to align this. So They are equal, ex. all fields is saved as upper case?

    You can try to create  a javascript function on page save to convert all values to Caps and save it.

    Loop thru each control (text) on form and convert it to uppercase.

    thanks

    Please try to create a function like this.

    function UpperCaseField(fieldName) {

      var value = Xrm.Page.getAttribute(fieldName).getValue();

      if (value != null) {

         Xrm.Page.getAttribute(fieldName).setValue(value.toUpperCase());

      }

    }

    Thanks for your answer. I also think that a plugin will be the right option. I wan't to avoid using javascript, since we don't have this skill in house. Is there any plugin available that can do this?

    Create Plugin on Pre-Create and Pre-Update. get the values from inputparameters and convert it to uppercase using string.toUpper.

    Hi rskadk1,

    There are two things are possible from your question. Both cases can be handled in different ways as below.

    Do you want to really store the Values in UPPER Case or Just you want to display the stored field values in upper case in CRM form?

    1)      For actually storing the values in CRM at the time of creating Record you need to write Plugin on Create Message of the Record  Logic will be fetch Incoming Attributes Convert to Upper Case and proceed for create.

    2)      If you just want to display existing records in UPPER CASE write a JavaScript method on form Load Event looping through Each Attribute and Convert to UPPERCASE and display.

    Note: Field Values will only display in Upper Case not it will not store the values in Upper Case.
