Error message before submitting to workflow

Hi, 
 
I want to see an error message before I submit PR, PO, Invoice etc to the workflow. I have an accounting structure set up, however, the error message related to it does not show up until after the workflow has been submitted...
Is there a configuration update I can do to have the error message on financial dimensions show up before workflow (perhaps when draft is saved)?
