Hi All,
My question is regarding LCS environment for d365 F&O.
As we need to start and stop environment everyday for coast saving right.
Right now we manually start and stop in LCS I want automatic process at every day at certain fixed time.
Suppose I want to stop environment everyday at
5 pm. So how can do this?
1. Need to change the  option in environment in menu bar as Start( as after stopping environment manually for starting again the option available is start)
2.need to show status stopped ( as when we started environment status is showing in front of project as deployed..... And after stopping stopped)
For Cloud hosted environment project.

There are many blogs , post available for auto start stop environment from azure portal but it is for VM only .....it is not stop the LCS environment

Basically need information about automatically stop environment at fixed time everyday in LCS

Basically, when you stop it from azure, it will directly stop the VM which means VM gets shutdown. But it might take some time to update in LCS. You need to refresh the LCS page. So, you can make this auto shutdown in Azure.

The API between LCS and Azure is one way, LCS can turn Azure environments on and off (start/stop) but if the status changes in Azure directly, as you have noticed, LCS does not know, so is not updated. LCS only knows the status of an Azure environment based on its own last action.

Dev VM are charged based on their usage. You can start/stop those VM either through Azure Portal or LCS.

There is no such thing of stopping LCS environment for Dev VMs. Microsoft will not charge you if you have an VM deploy and it is in stop state
