Audit Trail - Who (UserID) and When (Date and Time)

Why is it so hard to see who created a journal and what date time it was created?

The data is all in there......  I know all about change logs, etc....

But on a posted journal or General Ledge Entries page or many similar pages, the Userid of the person who created the entry and the date/time of creation are basic fields that should be available and are not....

In my humble opinion this is basic audit trail stuff that should be visible without the end user having to jump through hoops....

Am I the only one seeing this issue?

Regards,

Simon

Have you tried g/l registers. Believe the fields you want are there. Not 100% on time posted

Yes and that is where this data can be found - but there is no easy way for an end user to link to it from a general ledger entry or a posted journal.  As I said in my original post - the data is all there, but no intuitive way for an end user to simply click on a link and display the data - or better again, just have those basic audit trail fields available in the general ledger entries etc.......  Should be simple and it's not.

It’s a rant. I get it. Standard should have it.

Workaround which be can ignored but others could benefit from:

Go to a sandbox. Enter design mode on the general ledger entries page. You can add the fields you’re after. Design mode creates the AL files you need. An extension can be made from it
