Warehouse picks according to FEFO

Hello,

wanted to clarify the algorithm behind Picking according to FEFO (First expirted - first out).

We have a situation where in the warehouse there is an item with several Lot Numbers and all items within the same Lot has the same expiration date.
Should the BC be able to select those Lots that are to be expired first or does this only work within the same Lot (that within the same lot there are several expiration dates, and then system does the sorting) ?

I have checked all the setup for the FEFO to work (tracking codes and location setup). Costing method for item is FIFO. And I cannot seem to get system to select on the pick the Lot No. that is about to expire first. It always selects the Lot. that was first entered (FIFO)

Hi.

Do you have the correct setup in your location?

The next thing is to check that the item tracking code is set up to be warehouse specific

Lastly. I will ensure that the lots you want to pick are in bins set up for picking - assuming you have advanced warehousing.
