Safepay Date Format

Posted on by 345

Wells Fargo bank requires the date format to be MM-DD-YYYY (needs dashes, not  slashes) however this is not a format option.  We have a lot of clients that use Wells Fargo bank, so we would like to see this format added to the field format options.

Are there any workarounds in the meantime?

    Mike,

    As Leslie mentioned , there is seems to be no option to use calculation when defining the output fields.  One work around is you do it outside the GP. You can use MM/DD/YYYY in the format in GP for all date fields  and write a batch script to replace the “/” with “-” in the output file. You can use the simple find and replace script if you are sure there will be no “/” in other fields. Otherwise you will need to you the regular expressions to find date and replace them.

    Where do you put this? I do not see where you can use a calculation when defining the output fields.

    Kind regards

    use following function....

    date2str(YourDate, 123, DateDay::Digits2, DateSeparator::Hyphen, DateMonth::Digits2, DateSeparator::Hyphen, DateYear::Digits4));
