Page Inactive - No Scroll

Dynamics 365 On Prem

Hi,

When one of our users opens a record (Mainly email record) the page acts as though it has been disabled and all functionality doesn't work including scrolling up and down the page. This happens spontaneously but is becoming an issue for the users. The email has been sent but should still be able to scroll down the page to view all information. Has anybody experienced this issue?

    Can you check if there are some script errors - by pressing F12 developer toolbar. If there are errors on browser console - probably some functionality is broken & page is half loaded.

    Hi,

    That must be a browser issue. which browser is he using? can you check on IE EDGE.

    Hello,

    As you are  saying  that this issue is happening for one user . So try to login  into different system with the same user credentials And open the same record.

    There might be two reason either browser configuration, version ,caching or the email record which you are viewing. What does emails content contains?

    You can also  try  open same record with different user see the result.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply. We have gone through F12 and no visible errors. This happens spontaneously on different emails (isn't always the same email) and we cannot find a commonality between them. This does not happen on Chrome (As far as we are aware) but our organisations default browser is IE, which makes it more difficult to move users over to Chrome. We have had reports of other users having the issue once of twice but this one user gets it frequently.

    We have cleared the cache and reset IE defaults also.

    The user is using IE. We cannot suggest users use another browser due to the support we have here, but this issue doesn't happen on Chrome. We have cleared the browser cache, default settings restored and moved PC's but this still happens.

    Does issue cameup now after CRM/Windows upgrade? did you see any windows updates when compared to users who are able to manage tool?

    what is the user Windows version and IE version?
