How to enter the segmentation of a vendor/item in F&O?

Hello,

I would like to enter the segmentation of the vendor/item into F&O, according to the kraljic matrix

Is there a field/table available to enter this information?

Additional question: is there a field in F&O to flag if the vendor is contracted or not.

Thanks

Mark

    Hello Mark,

Within the "Purchasing Demographic" section, there exists a quick-access tab. Within this tab, there is an opportunity to designate a segment. Although presented as a descriptive box, it may serve the intended purpose.

Moreover, there is no designated field for the Kraljic matrix. Nevertheless, customization is a viable option for integrating this tool.

    Hi,
In F&O, you can often customize forms and tables to meet your specific business needs. To segment suppliers based on the Kraljic Matrix, you need to create custom fields or use existing fields to capture relevant data. You can set up fields to categorize suppliers into segments such as Strategic, Leverage, Bottleneck, or Non-Critical based on your organization's criteria.
    Best Regards,
    Hana

    Hi Mark,

There is no specific field for the Kraljic matrix. It can be added with a customization.

There is a functionality for approved vendors. Approve vendors for specific procurement categories - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn Maybe you can use this feature for your contracted requirement?
