Creating Chart that Counts Total Records in Entity

Is it possible to create a single chart in CRM that will display the total record count from about five different entities?

I have explored a few ways already and the link entities within CRM will not work as there is no relationship between the entities.

    No, not with out of the box CRM functionality since a chart is based on 1 primary entity.  

    If you have the ability to write SQL and SSRS, you can write a query that counts records in your specified entities and use it to populate a chart.  Then, you can put the report in a variety of places.

    The user entity is 1 link between all of the entities in the system for ownership based entities.  If it is acceptable to show records per user, the following articles may help you.

    Yeah, I've hit many limitations recently with charts and some with FetchXML. I think integrating SSRS reports on our dashboards will be something I have to start doing.
