    Hello SM-21021352-0,

You're encountering a series of interconnected issues with your Field Service Portal, specifically related to the Email Connector URL and the portal's home page. Let's break down the problems and provide solutions:

    1. Email Connector URL Issue:

    • Problem:

      • You're using an older version of the portal settings for the Email Connector URL.
      • When you save, the system automatically changes the URL to a new link that navigates to the Power Automate flow page (new designer).

      •
    • Explanation:

      • Microsoft has been transitioning to the new Power Automate designer and integrating it more closely with Dynamics 365 portals.
      • The older method of setting the Email Connector URL is being deprecated, and the system is forcing you to use the new flow-based approach.

      •
    • Solution:

      • Embrace the New Flow-Based Approach: You'll need to adapt to using Power Automate flows for your Email Connector.

      • Create or Modify the Flow:

        • Navigate to Power Automate and find the flow associated with your Email Connector.
        • Ensure the flow is correctly configured to receive emails and process them as needed.
        • Verify that the flow's triggers and actions are working as expected

      • Update Portal Settings (If Necessary):

        • If there are any remaining portal settings related to the Email Connector, ensure they point to the correct Power Automate resources

      • Test Thoroughly:

        • Send test emails to your portal's email address to verify that the flow is working correctly.

    2. Home Page Not Loading:

    • Problem:

      • You're getting the error "It seems the page you're looking for doesn't exist, or you don't have permission to view it."

      •
    • Possible Causes and Solutions:

      • Permissions:

        • Check Anonymous Access: Verify that anonymous access is enabled for your Field Service Portal.
        • Check Page Permissions: Ensure that the "Home" page has the correct permissions for the roles that should be able to access it.

      • Page Configuration:

        • Page Template: Make sure the "Home" page is using a valid page template.
        • Page Publishing State: Verify that the "Home" page is in a "Published" state.
        • Web Page Record: Check the Web Page record in Dynamics 365 to ensure it's correctly configured (e.g., correct partial URL, associated website)

      • Website Bindings:

        • If you have custom domain bindings, ensure they are correctly configured

      • Customizations:

        • If you have recent portal customizations (e.g., web templates, JavaScript), they might be causing conflicts.
        • Temporarily disable customizations to see if the home page loads

      • Caching:

        • Clear the portal's cache.
        • Clear your browser's cache and cookies

      • Portal Restart:

        • Try restarting the portal from the Power Platform admin center

      • Dataverse Issues:

        • In rare cases, Dataverse issues can affect portal functionality. Check the Dataverse service health.
        •

    Troubleshooting Steps:

    1. Address the Email Connector Issue First: Ensure your Email Connector is working correctly using the new flow-based approach.
    2. Check Portal Permissions: Verify anonymous access and page permissions.
    3. Inspect the Home Page Record: Review the Web Page record for the "Home" page.
    4. Clear Caches: Clear both the portal and browser caches.
    5. Disable Customizations: Temporarily disable customizations to isolate the problem.
    6. Restart the Portal: Try restarting the portal.
    7. Check Dataverse Health: Verify Dataverse service health.

    Key Recommendations:

    • Adapt to Power Automate: Embrace the new flow-based approach for your Email Connector.
    • Thorough Testing: Test all changes thoroughly in a non-production environment before deploying them to production.
    • Review Documentation: Refer to the official Microsoft documentation for the latest information on Field Service Portal configuration and Power Automate integration.
