1. Please advise what controls the available dimensions that can be selected in the Define Parameters of Budget Control Configuration module? This is because I have selected both Main Account and Cost Center in Budgeting Dimensions but only Main Account dimension is shown when I select BS Account Structure in the Define Parameters of Budget Control Configuration module.
2. Why is it that only one Account structure can be selected in the Budget Control - Define Parameters tab ? When I selected BS Account Structure, I can only select Main Account in the Criteria section of Budget Control Rule tab? When I selected PL Account Structure, I can select both Main Account and Cost Center Dimension in the Criteria section of Budget Control rule tab? Also after I set/save the criteria and I tried to change the selected Account Structure in the Define Parameters section, it will prompt that it is in use and any criteria will be deleted. So this means that only one Account Structure is allowed when setting the Budget control rule?
3. Why it is that only 1 main account and 1 cost center for instance can be set under Define Control Rules tab? How about other main accounts and cost center that I want to control budget? I thought of leaving this tab empty so it will enforce control on all main accounts & cost center I defined in the Budget Register Entry page, but it does not allow. How can I set restriction to other main accounts and other cost center?
use budget control configuration to define rules to control budget , budgeting control dimensions, what attribute to valuation trigger, etc
then use budget register entries to assign budget value on timeline and account and financial dimension level
