Creating firewall rules for OData API used as Virtual Entity Data Source

Hi there

My organization is currently in the process of securing an Data API which will be used as a Virtual Entity Data Source.

Is there a document similar to this one but outlining the originating IP addresses making the requests to the OData APIs used as Virtual Entity Data Sources?

Any advice is welcome.

Javier

    Here are my findings:

    - According to this list, these are the IP address used by Dynamic 365 instances hosted in Canada:

    13.106.8.128/26
    13.106.42.64/26
    52.233.25.234
    52.232.131.85
    13.107.6.169
    13.107.9.169
    2620:1ec:a92::169
    2620:1ec:4::169

    - I traced the requests coming from Dynamics 365 and this is the originating IP: 52.233.38.164

    - The originating IP is located on the same network as two of the Dynamic 365 instances from the list.

    - The problem is that the reported sub-network for the originating IP is 52.224.0.0/11 (2097152 addresses). Restricting that network will be more secure than not having any IP restrictions in place but still too wide of a range.

    I'm trying to find any meaningful information that will allow me to narrow down the IP range.

    Also, any future request could potentially come from a different network.

    As far as I'm aware, the IP addresses in that document apply for both accessing CRM Online, and for any connections made from CRM Online (e.g. when using Virtual Entity Data Sources)
