Line Item Comment ID security

We have an AR employee who has been given rights to all of AR and all inventory but when she enters an item in an invoice and goes to the comment ID she receives the message that she does not have security rights to this item. What do we have to give her access to so she can change/add comments?

She needs to be given rights to Comment ID setup which is an Admin>>Company Security task.

There could potentially be 3 answers to this question.

If the user is pressing the lookup glass next to a comment field and getting an error.

Security to the lookup window for comments is on the “DEFAULTUSER” Task. All Roles should have access to this task.

Using the below screenshot check and verify that it has not been removed and also check a role she has applied and make sure the “DEFAULTUSER” task is assigned.

Security for this operation is on the following tasks by default. (TRX_PURCH_001*, TRX_PURCH_004*, TRX_PURCH_006, TRX_PURRREQ_026*). Please verify that the operation is assigned to the task(s), and verify that one of the users assigned roles have access to one of these tasks. Alternatively you can create a new task and grant the needed permission then assign it to the one of the users roles, or a new role that can be assigned to the user.

The user is trying to add a new comment ID “on the fly”. The user would be entering a new ID into the field and getting a prompt if she would like to add the ID.

The security to the Comment Setup is only granted by the task ADMIN_COMPANY_001 by default.

Same as with the above, please verify the task has the operation assigned, and that the user has a role assigned which contains this task. Alternatively you could create a new task to assign to a role.
