Autocreate warehouse shipment when a sales order is released

I have a client request to have a warehouse shipment created automatically for a sales order when the sales order is released. They heard from someone that this is native functionality, but I cannot find it nor have I seen it. Is there a setup I am missing somewhere, or would this be a customization?

Autocreate warehouse shipment when a sales order is released

This is a customization, although it would be nice if Microsoft would add this as a setup option. We make this customization for clients all the time.

As far as I know this requires customization, standard requires one click on the order.
