Trying to create a marketing list targeted at contacts, based off of a list of accounts?

Hi everyone,

Basically I need to create a marketing list for our contacts from one particular territory, so I am trying to create a marketing list (targeted at contacts) based on all of the accounts located in that territory.

I am very new to Dynamics, but I did something similar I'm sure a few months ago...I just I can't remember how. I just need a way to pull contacts from all accounts from that particular territory. I have both a marketing list and an account view which do this already at the account level - is there some way to use these to pull the contacts into their own list?

I am extremely grateful for any and all help!

    Hello,

    1. Create a marketing list based on the Contact entity ('Targeted at: Contact')
    2. After saving it once, click 'Manage Members' in the ribbon or the [+] icon above the grid in the middle
      • If you have a Static Marketing List, choose 'Add using Advanced Find'

      • If you have a Dynamics Marketing list this screen will be skipped

    3. When defining your query
      1. Click where it says 'Select' (blue underlined)
      2. Choose the field 'Company Name (Account)'
      3. In the row below it, another 'Select' (blue underlined) will now appear, click that
      4. In this underlying row select the field 'Territory'
      5. As the operator it should already have selected 'Equals'
      6. Then in the box on the right select the territory you want to filter on

      7. Click 'Find' to to advance to the next screen
      8. A preview will now show you the result
      9. Click 'Use Query' to confirm

And that should be it :-)
