Unknown Incoming Email Integration Error - server-side sync - after update 0.1

Hi,

I've got very annoying problem with some mailboxes in my organization since I've updated CRM to version 0.1 (2016).

Some details:

1. Dynamics CRM 2016.01 on-premises

2. Mailboxes using server-side sync

3. This mailboxes were working correctly for about a year

4. After some tests and restarts server next mailboxes started to have the same issue: "Unknown Incoming Email Integration Error" (at the beggining only 2 of 4 boxes on this server, after restarts 3 of 4)

5. I asked my mailbox provider about any changes. They told me that in the same time they were updating certificates of the server and I'm using 995/587 ports with SSL

6. In any test of mailboxes it look's like working fine. After 10 minutes in next check - warning again.

Anyone could help a little? I've tried tracing it but don't see nothing special in logs.

As I can see now, there are some things in tracelogs. Last sync messages are giving some errors:

Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.ActivityPointerBase' with unique index 'fndx_Email_MessageId'. The duplicate key value is (<xxxxxxxxxxxxx address>, 0, cc8f99fd-486e-4c39-aef7-7dd4d5fdbd0a).

I've tested a lot more. I started NEW ORGANISATION in db and configured with gmail account. It also has a problem with server-side sync. It can't get incoming emails. Anyone has a suggestion?

Did you get any resolution for this ? we are facing similar  issue ?

No. It looks like caused by update 0.1. I've send a message to Microsoft but don't have any support plan. Anyone with CRM 2016.01 has the same issue?

We're getting the same issue on CRM Online after updating over the weekend.  No resolution found so far.

    Edit/add-on

We've also noticed our system jobs have stopped, with all reoccurring jobs stating 'Awaiting resources'. This is causing an issue as we can't test + activate any new configurations to workaround this issue (IE setting up an exchange online/hybrid and forwarding emails from GMail to Exchange).

Same issue here - no resolution...

At this moment I don't have any additional information. I checked system jobs (as Robin Bourne said above) and don't work in my on-premises too. Does anyone tried to contact with official support?

I hope this below article might help you. Sorry not of much help.

    Thanks.

This is for outbound emails which, in my instance, is working successfully. This appears to only affect inbound mail, and was working before the 2016 patch was applied to our instance.

I've tried a workaround where we forward mail from the POP server to Exchange Online, and then use the Exchange Online profile to retrieve emails and put them into queues/auto-cases (on the assumption that a Microsoft product to Microsoft product would be more reliable). This was working for a limited time for us but has since stopped - this may be a unrelated issue, and I'll keep this updated once I know more on the issue.

Any update? facing the same issue with integrating Gmail with CRM Online. A warning message "An unknown error occurred while receiving email through one or more mailboxes." is thrown and stop working after pulling just one incoming email into CRM from Gmail.
