The encryption certificate ... does not exist in the local computer certificate store

Hi all

I'm having trouble setting up IFD for CRM 2013 and I haven't run into this issue before, when trying to set up claims-based auth in the deployment wizard, I get the following error.

The encryption certificate 'certificate info' does not exist in the local computer certificate store

I have checked that the CRM app pool account (Network Service) has read access to the certificate in MMC, and even changed the app pool account to Administrator as a test, same result.

I've also tried to install the certificate in the claims wizard, both to the personal store and the trusted root certification store. One thing I did notice is when I was asked to select the certificate in the claims wizard, it listed the certificate twice instead of once. Both selections give the same result.

Any suggestions on what I can try next?

I ended up working this out, it was related to the cert being listed twice. We had some issues with importing the cert originally, it came in without its private key and wouldn't display in IIS. We ended up getting the cert imported correctly, but the old, incorrect installation of it was still listed in the Personal store. I deleted that copy of the cert and the wizard is now able to continue.

the old and new certificate is definitely the issue, thankyou, it worked for me.

This issue still persists in Dynamics365 Update 2. Many thanks :)
