After you input the salvage value in FA G/L JNL alongside with the acquistion cost, where do you see the salvage value you entered?
You can find it under the your FA Ledger Entry with entry type Salvage Value.
Make sure you don't put filter on 'Part of Book Value'.
As Teddy mentioned its visible in the FA Ledger Entries. And you can also view it if you go to the Statistics Page from the Fixed Asset Card
