Hi. I want to create approval workflow directed to the group of users. But I need only one person to approve the request. How can I do this? Using group of users in the 'Workflow User Groups' I need all users to approve request.

I have the same question (0)

Adjust the workflow so that the highlighted line is the same as the image:

The workflow user group should have all users with the same sequence number too

Hi, I setup this exactly as you said, I only have 2 approvers, it can be any of them who makes de approval.

PO was approved for user 1 but in user 2 PO approved still appear as pending, eventhough PO has a Approved status.

I need that, once one of the approvers has approved, PO doesn't list in the other approver.

Is this possible, how can I achieve this?

    TIA!

    Hello.

    I resolved this problem.

First step - You need to configure 'On Condition' like above - or using 'Pending Approvals >= 0'.

Second step - In the response to this event (An approval request is aproved) you need to add additional step - 'Approve approval request' (or similar).

After this when one person of the WorkflowGroup approve request, rest group members request is automatically approved.

It seems is working, only thing I'm not loving is that all approvers appear as if they have approved, how can I know which user really approved?

    Hello Marisun

You will get to Which User really approved from Approval Entries there is field called Status, from there you can get track.

    Hope it will help you.

    Thanks

    Hi  ,

As you mentioned we can get the 'Approver name who actually approved the document from Status field in Approval Entries page, however, I am checking but it is not clearly visible that who actually approves it.

In STATUS field it is only showing Approved.

I am unable to make sure who approved the document from the Workflow User Group.

    Hi

You can get that details from Approver ID.

The below are the status of Approval Entries, from these you will get to know:

    Created

    Open

    Reject

    Approved

    Cancelled.

As per your screenshot, the document is approved by both ID i.e. Manish Prasad and Vishal.

    Hi  ,

Thank You for the quick response.

As you said the document is approved by both the ID's (which is correct based up the Workflow User Group setup as the Sequence is set to 1 for both) but in reality there is only One Approver who's going to approve the document so the Other Approver cannot able to see which document is approved (till here it is fine)

Now, if the end User wants to know which Approver has approve the document how he can get to know, that is my actual question.

The screenshot I've mentioned was taken by logging with the end user, and there he can see both the approvers in 'APPROVER ID' so it is difficult for him to guess the actual approver.

I have check out the video links you've given but they are not providing as much clarity to my requirement.

    Hi Greex,

Please ask your development Partner to do customisation.

In My suggestion you can add additional field on Approval entries page, where system will add & keep data with information which user "Approved" the record. The additional record line which is system auto update status as Approved, on that put something unique information so base on that you can find and understand which entries are approved & updated with user & which by system modified.

    Hope this will help.

    Many Thanks,
    Manan

    Hi Greex,

You can use the Approver type as Approver and specify the user.

    You have many other options.

You can use this as an alternative

    Thanks and Regards
