On the one hand my colleague cannot execute an specific action, she gets an error. I, on the other hand, can do it without any problems.

Hello guys,

today I discovered a very strange behaviour in NAV with a colleague.

We have a report that is used to post contracts.

When my colleague carries out the action that starts the report, she gets a message that no rows could be found. If I execute the action, it works.

If my colleague executes the action in the test system, it also works. It works for me here too.

The test system is a copy of the real system and is one month old.

Last week, my colleague was still able to carry out the action.

If she executes the action in the real system in another client, it also works.

So there are only problems in the one client in the real system.

What could be the problem here?
- The user rights have not changed (test system = real system)!
- all user adjustments deleted, error still occurs
- all filters in the report deleted and re-entered, error still occurs

Do you have any ideas?

Can I catch the information, which is shown while executing the action, somehow with the debugger?

Thank you!

    Hi,

Please compare objects in both the system, may be you can check date modified of those objects in both the systems.

    Thanks.

Hi, you can try the following.

    1. Give the user Super permission to see if there is any problem with the operation. If there is no problem, it is a permissions problem.

    2. There might be some customization affecting this filtering, like filtering rows based on username, you need to check the code.

    3. Click About This Report on the Preview page to see if there is a value. This may also be a layout problem.

    Hey guys,

thank you very much for your support.

My colleague restarted our NAV a few more times yesterday afternoon and suddenly she was able to perform the action again.

I still don't understand what the problem was, but apparently it's fixed for now.

Should it occur again, I would contact you again :)
