How to import data into modified G.P window using Integration Manager.

I have modified Receivables Transection Entry window and add one date field. Now want to import data using integration manager through GP Adapter. As it is described in MS documentation integration manager can't import data into any modified window. Is there any way to import data in modified window too?

You can extend integrates using VBA. For a custom field like you're describing the bulk of the VBA would best be placed in the After Document; you'd create the ODBC in the Before Integration and pass the objects through in a global variable.

Just be sure to set your security to the original form while you do the integration and then you can set the security back to the modified form.

    Amir,

Are you also wanting to import data into that new field? If yes, then as Ian mentioned you would use VB script, but you would still use the original window. The reason Integration Manager doesn't like modified windows is because it's actually running a macro to accomplish the integration. The user manual for integration manager has some information on how to use VB Script. Also, there is a script library that comes with integration manager.

Blogwise, Mariano Gomez has some good articles on making the data connection. There is a training manual available as well, though it hasn't been updated since version 9 I think. The 'data connection' parts of the manual would be obsolete. Best to follow Mariano's examples.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
