Is there any tool out there to edit attachment (word,excel etc) from Business Central directly ?
No. You cant edit attachment from business central directly you can re upload the attachment after changes
Hi, if it is word or excel, you can use the Open in Onedrive function, and then edit the file in OneDrive.

Unfortunately we dont have any tool to edit the attachment in BC only, but yes as Zhu mentioned if you can access One drive to edit your word or excel file directly in one drive.

That function does not edit the actual attached file but a copied one on onedrive.
Even if you save the file it does not bring it back in BC.
So a better option might be to add a link to the document instead of actually uploading the document to BC. The link can f.ex. be to sharepoint or teams. So when you edit it - your link will always refer too the latest version.
