Hello All,

I have installed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on premises with demo data. The instance name is BC170 and the server is running.

My question is what will be the url for connecting the application as a local host?

Best Regards,

I have the same question (0)

RE: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central URL

    Hi @Ranjith,

When you install any version of Business Central On-Premise by default the Web Client URL looks like this: http://localhost:8080/ServerInstanceName

In your case, as the server instance name is BC170 then the Web Client URL will be http://localhost:8080/BC170. Open this URL in the browser and check if still not working then open Internet Information Services(IIS) Manager and check the "Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Web Client" website is running or not, if it is not running you will face following issue:

To resolve this issue Start your BC Web Client site service from IIS and check, your web client should work now,

If still your web client issue not resolved then re-install Web Client.

Please recheck all your configuration settings in the file named -' navsettings.json' under path -  C:\inetpub\wwwroot\BC170\

Please verify the reply if it answers your query.

    Thanks,

RE: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central URL

    Hello,

You can start Internet Information Server on the server hosting the Dynamics 365 Business Central and look at the WebClient instance. You can browse from there.

If you are not able to get this to work, something else must be off. Best is to raise it to Microsoft support.

    Thanks.

    Hi Bilal Haider,

    Thanks for your reply.

All settings are default one and did not changed anything manually. But still it is not working for me, I have tried the URL syntax which you have mentioned. The server status is "running" and all related services also "running". Getting message as "can't reach this page".

    Regards,

    Ranjith

    Hi Ranjith,

If you have not manually changed port numbers and settings at the time of installation then ideally it should be like this in your case: http://localhost:8080/BC180/
