We are restarting a client and need to clean out existing inventory, much of it is lot controlled. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to handle this? I have in the past loaded inventory transactions thru sql for non-lot controlled inventory successfully but am unsure if it is lot controlled. Thanks for any advice.

Leslie, thanks for the suggestion we are using it to do this however turns out there are some items with many many lots so it has been a little tedious. Thanks again.
We are going to look into/think about using the cycle count idea, thanks for suggesting it.
Hi,
How about using a cycle count to create a variance adjustment that will take all of the quantities to zero? After the variance is posted (be careful that you don't post something that will mess up your GL balances), you can remove the inventory transaction history if you want. I would create a count schedule that included all of the items and then verify a zero quantity.
If you have integration manager (or equivalent) you could import a negative inventory adjustment using the dynamics GP tables as your data source.
Kind regards,
Leslie
