We are running GP10. Is it possible to replace all the bins with new bin locations? I suppose in a crude sense some sort of update via SQL is what I had in mind.

I should have clarified the integration manager step. It would be used in the first example to export out and import in the qty's. In between would be the SQL step of removing the Bin Qty master info and replenishing with the new bins/items/site relationships. Again, I would do in a test environment first until results are what you want to see and also without affecting everyday ops.

Thanks for the reply Dan. We do have integration manager so will have a look at the possibility of doing it via this.
I wasn't overly worried about doing it via SQL, only concern I had was knowing where the BIN locations are held in the db.
You would have to do via SQL. Only other option is to manually do it. I would recommend doing it in a test company first to validate the results. There are 2 paths you could go.
1) Pull all inventory out of on hand, clear the bin locations, add the new bin locations, and import back in.
2) Have lists of both the new and old, do bin transfers (could possibly be via SQL but have not tried it and will probably lose some traceability of this transfer), then delete the old or unneeded bins.
Do you own integration manager? That could aid in some of this.
