Make a field mandatory / set default value on one form but not on another

Hi there, I have several account forms which differ in layout and which fields are on them based on the users role in our organisation.

My question is this:

If I have a tick box called 'Active DCW' on each of the forms, is it possible one only one of the forms to give that tick box a default value of yes when a new account is created, but give it a default value of no on the other forms when a new account is created?

I was hoping that setting the field to yes on the specified form would only set it on that particular form but it applies that default setting at the field level rather than the form level.

How can I achieve this?

Thanks

Rhys.

If you have different forms then you can load different jscript librarys on them and thus provide differing functionality and responses. The thing is that any workflows will be triggered for all forms, unless you have an identifier to distinguish between them.

Yes, you can do this using business rule or by writing java script, both are form specific only so, you can create one business rule for one form where you can set default value as true and create another business rule for another form (you need to select that form under scope drop down).

    Thanks
