Business Central -> Shopify fulfillment integration

Hi team,

We implemented the Shopify Connector in our Business Central earlier in June. We were able to Sync Orders from Shopify into BC and create BC Sales Order from these Synced Shopify Orders.

However, when the shipments are shipped and Sales Shipments & Invoices created in Business Central, the Shopify order remains 'unfulfilled'. Inside the Shopify tab in BC, the fulfillment page and the Sales Invoice No. fields are also empty despite there are legit Sales Shipments/Invoices under the Sales Order.

We tried running the Sync Shipment to Shopify report inside Job Queue entries but it seems like it's syncing fulfillment that's recognized under the Shopify Order tab back to Shopify, and it's not doing anything to help us sync sales shipments to the orders inside Shopify tab.

Due to this, we cannot properly sync back fulfillment to Shopify. We read about the official tutorial page Synchronize and fulfill sales orders - Business Central | Microsoft Docs regards to syncing back the fulfillment but it didn't help. Hoping to see if anyone was able to successfully sync shipments back to Shopify orders and if we missed anything in the setup.

    Hi Marco,

    Thank you. We've submitted two tickets via Shopify - BC connector support last week but still haven't heard anything back. 

    Worst case we will have to build separate integration just for fulfillment part.

    I just found the issue and sharing the below in case anyone run into the same issue.

    When the Sync Shipment to Shopify report runs, there is no error handling so despite the results show 'successful', if no fulfillment posted, it's likely the fulfillment hit errors.

    If you have Developer license, you can use the debug mode and run Codeunit 30190 "Shpfy Export Shipments" line by line to see what's wrong. In our case, the fulfillment posting errored due to 'no stock in location' because the shipment location mapping was incorrect. After the location is fixed the fulfillment was synced properly.

    If your issue is still unresolved, you might try setting up the integration again. For instance, the Skyvia platform offers comprehensive data integration between Shopify and Business Central, which could help address the problem.
