How to

How to create the + button in CRM 2013 form Customizations.

So that when + is clicked a form should be displayed. But first I want to know how to create + button.

Does the user have create rights for that entity? You shouldn't have to add it..

Yes there are create rights for the entity..

Is that something automatic?

But I need a + button to add a new entity form to open as dialog box.

Can you please guide me through this ?

Hi, you need to first add a subgrid to the form (button on the Insert ribbon). That will give you the + button automatically.

I did the same..but instead of creating a + icon, the created subgrid is displaying under the parent entity.

It should not be visible to unless + icon is clicked.

What could be the reason?

Hi,

Scott and Scott are right.

You dont have to create the + button, it will automatically created after you put a subgrid inside the CRM Form of the related entity as long as you have privilege to create new record of the subgrid entity record.

Anyway, the subgrid will not be enable to add (the + button will not show first) until you save the parent entity record.
