Hi,

when sending an email out from the CRM System to the customer the System has added "CRM:0341001" to the subject line automatically (after pressing the "send" button)

How can this be fixed and avoided ?!

    Hi,

This is tracking token. You can disable / modify it from

Settings > Administration > System Settings > Email > "Use correlation" / "Use tracking token"

    Hi,

This CRM number is the email tracking token.

    See: https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/dynamicscrmsupportblog/archive/2012/08/14/email-tracking-token-in-dynamics-crm-2011

In order to remove this number, go to Settings --> Administration --> System Settings.

Navigate to the tab Email as shown in the screenshot below.

Uncheck the Use Tracking Token option.

    Hope this helps.

I would advise you to turn it off in the current version as there is a known issue with the generation of tracking numbers, where the same tracking number (0000000001) is being used multiple times.

This is because of email tracking token, keeping it has its own advantages. Sometime back I faced a similar scenario and did a quick write-up on my finding. Please refer the same and hope this helps!

@ShannonCRM, do you know where more information about the 0000000001 issue can be found?

Per Microsoft, it is documented in their support system that it has been fixed in 8.2.1 (the latest release). However, I couldn't find this on their release notes.  The support technician said they don't put everything in the Release Notes.

we haven't installed the update to verify yet.

Thank you @ShannonCRM.  I just installed the Client (server still on 8.2.0) and it still seems to be an issue.  I would have thought it was a client bug with local tracking tokens assigned to the Client.  Hoping it's server side now I guess... installing update on test server soon.
