    Hi,

As I know you can only change Global Dim. after posting in G/L.
You can go in General Ledger Entries and select line where you need to change dimensions, after that press button Correct Dimensions.

You need to put values in draft of corrections and Run.

    Hello,

Yes, you can change dimensions after posting.
Use Correct Dimensions on the General Ledger Entries page.
This updates only the G/L entries, not the posted invoice document itself.

Yes we can modify the dimensions using "Correct dimension" button in General LEdger Entries

You can schecule this activity if records are huge in number

But it updates only General Ledger Entries not other relevant tables example Customer ledger or posted documents

    Warm Regards

    Hello,

I do agree with all the Experts.

You can’t change dimensions on the posted invoice itself, but you can correct them on the General Ledger Entries using the Correct Dimensions feature in Business Central.

This lets you update dimension values for reporting without altering the original document or sub-ledgers.

The process involves selecting the G/L entry, choosing Correct Dimensions, making adjustments, and posting the correction, ensuring accurate financial analysis while preserving transactional integrity.

    Hi,

Correcting the Dimensions can be done via standard processes via Correct Dimensions, but it only corrects the dimensions for General Ledger Entries as mentioned by other experts.

If you want to change the dimensions and want to reflect them in all the related documents, suggested method will be to create a credit memo for the invoice with the same dimensions to reverse the entries, and then create a new invoice and post the invoice with the correct dimensions.

Do mark as verified if this helps.

As mentioned by other users you can use the Dimension Correction tool to change the dimensions on the general ledger entries. But this tool doesn't change the dimensions on the posted invoice. To do that, the only option is to reverse the invoice and post a new invoice with the correct dimensions.

    Hi,

You cannot edit dimensions directly on the posted invoice page. You have to reversal and then re-enter the invoice with correct dimensions. But for general ledger entries dimension correction. you can use the correct Dimensions functionality.

    Thanks
